Our commitment to Church Safety

We desire our church to be a safe environment.

New Vine Church is committed to modelling the love of Christ to all with whom we have contact. We will provide places, services and programs that promote physical, emotional and spiritual health. We believe people should be treated with respect and valued. They should be kept healthy emotionally, physically and spiritually. In particular, vulnerable people should be protected and cared for (including children, the aged, and disadvantaged people).

We’ve also implemented a COVID Safe Plan in line with both the NSW Government and Baptist Association of NSW and ACT recommendations.

If you have questions or concerns in relation to church safety matters, please get in touch with Andrew Cole (our Safe Church Person) by emailing safechurch@newvine.org.au.

Privacy Policy

We aim to treat people and their personal information with courtesy.  Details provided enable better care, administration and communication.

Our overarching approach to privacy is summed up by the term “courtesy”.  We believe there is a principle of “treating others as we would like them to treat us”, that applies so very well and that “courtesy” sums it up neatly.   We endeavour to build a culture into the church where people’s privacy is respected within an organisation that seeks to develop and highly values “community”.

In response to the National Privacy Act, we aim to establish the following patterns:

  1. Methods of collecting information which communicate what information is being kept and the reason why the church is collecting it.

  2. Methods which seek peoples’ permission to use it as such.

  3. Methods which gives the opportunity for people to have their information removed from our storage or for them to get a copy of the information being kept.

  4. Methods whereby information of a personal nature would be kept securely and only divulged to others with the permission of the individual involved.

  5. Methods whereby out-of-date information is destroyed.
