No matter your age or stage, we have a seat at the table for you!

We recognise that everyone’s at different points in life – in age and stage, and also their knowledge of God. We have a number of different groups, ministries and programs to reach people who don’t yet know God and to help New Viners grow in their faith. These groups include programs for children, teens, single parents, international students, sport and for people who want to explore more about the Christian faith.

Young Families

Sunday Kids Programs

Our Sunday Kids Programs take place during the service and run for about an hour. Programs cater to ages 0-Year 6 and are run by our child-safety-trained volunteers.

Baby Playtime

For mums and new bubs 0-12 months, Baby Playtime is a place to catch up while the kids enjoy supervised play. 10–11am Tuesdays at New Vine.

Little Vines Playtime

Little Vines Playtime is for families with kids aged 0-5. Meet in the auditorium at 10am Thursdays for a fun morning of craft, stories, music, and dancing, and stay for a free coffee and morning tea together (BYO).

Young People

Sunday Youth Programs

Sunday Youth Programs cater to teens from Years 7-12. Run by trained volunteers, these programs are a place to ask questions, learn about Jesus and find good mates for the journey.

DIGG Youth

DIGG Youth is our high school ministry, gathering 7pm Fridays at New Vine (during school terms). Games, fun and good discussion abound! Check out DIGG’s Instagram page for more info.

Young Adults

New Vine YA gathers together periodically (sometimes with other churches in our region) throughout the year to enjoy good company, discuss big topics and pray together.

Community Care

Among other initiatives, we partner with Maryland Neighbourhood Centre to supply groceries for local families in need, as well as Christians Against Poverty (CAP) to provide Money Mentoring at New Vine.

Vintage New Vine

Vintage New Vine: a place for renewal and fellowship. A place for the more mature members of the congregation, we meet on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month for praise, scripture, stories and prayer, commencing at 9:30am and concluding with a luscious morning tea around 10:45.

Life Groups

Life Groups are where New Viners gather in homes across Newcastle throughout the week to pray, discuss the Bible, and do life together!

Hospitality

We love welcoming our community to our ‘home base’ at Maryland! We run a coffee cart on Sunday mornings before the service, host occasional morning teas, and make sure we have friendly faces to welcome you at the door. Our fabulous maintenance volunteers keep our grounds ship-shape by caring for our gardens and buildings.

Pods

Pods are small groups of 2-3 people who meet together regularly for the ABCs – Ask questions, Be authentic, and Commit to pray. Pods are usually self-initiated, but feel free to shoot us an email and we’ll help find a suitable group!
